Who we are

In 2024, our team mobilized students across the country, registered voters, encouraged turnout, and grew a meaningful social media presence called Youth for Harris-Walz. We have since rebranded and welcome all interested individuals to get involved.

Youth for Civic Power is a student-led organization committed to expanding civic participation. We engage, educate, and activate people to advocate for themselves and their communities.

We believe in a strong today, a better tomorrow, and a future for all, regardless of political affiliation, background, or identity.

Our logo includes a bald eagle. You might be wondering why? Well, the bald eagle appears on the Great Seal and other national emblems, symbolizing strength, freedom, and independence. Native to North America, it has long stood for courage and resolve.

We are part of this country. Our effort and aspirations belong here, and the American dream is ours as well.

We love this country and are committed to protecting democracy and building civic power for all.

To be a good American is to be a good citizen and to know the power of your voice. Join us to advocate for your community, protect your rights, and amplify your voice in shaping the future. Together, we can ensure that every person feels informed, represented, and empowered to make a difference.

About them.

Bianca is an undergraduate student in Houston, Texas, studying Philosophy and Political Science, with interests in Communications/Journalism and Business. She became civically engaged in high school through the Mayor’s Youth Council and has since worked to inform and empower her community. Beyond the classroom, she remains active in nonpartisan voter-education efforts at the local, state, and national levels. A first-generation Mexican American, she’s proud of her roots and committed to representing her community. She plans to attend law school after graduation. Bianca is also an avid runner who has completed a major marathon and hopes to keep pursuing her passion for running.

Ty is a senior undergraduate student in Washington, D.C. studying Political Science and Public Administration. He became engaged politically in high school, working on phone banking for congressional campaigns and advocating for social justice. He has been involved in numerous political organizing and advocacy efforts since his time in college. An Ethiopian/African American, he's proud of his roots, and his identity is a part of his core reason for advocacy. He is also a proud New Orleanian, born and raised. Ty loves Field Organizing and Campaign work and will likely pursue that after undergrad. He is also a writer and enjoys writing short stories from time to time.
